Table Discussion
  • This approach should be used when explaining or discussing a topic in the lesson. It is also a useful approach to use when teaching students a process involving lots of difficult steps.
  • Students should sit so they can face the white board/teacher
  • Students should be silent unless directed by teacher
  • Students should use hands up for answering or asking questions.

RM Tutor
  • This approach should be used when showing/explaining certain things to the class that may be hard for all to see if they have to look at the whiteboard.
  • Students should leave their keyboard and mouse alone
  • Students should watch the demonstration in silence
  • Students should use hands up for answering or asking questions


Quick Demo when at PC
  • This approach should be used when you need to remind students of a process or when showing something quick and simple.
  • Students should remain in their seats, but turn and face the white board.
  • Students should not be using their computer
  • Students should watch the demonstartion in silence
  • Students should use hands up for answering or asking questions

Work, but listen
  • This approach should be used when students are working and you may just wish to reinforce key parts they should be including in they work
  • Students can carry on working, but they need to listen
  • Students should not be talking for these few seconds
